About this room

At 20 m², the Standard Double is the simplest of our double rooms: two square metres less than the Comfort Doubles and furnishings that favour the practical over the decorative, though everything you need for a comfortable stay in central Madrid is here. It is the category with which the hostal covers the essentials of a double room, with nothing extra.

The queen-size bed, a size below the king bed of the one-bed Comfort Double, gives two people travelling together plenty of room, and the hardwood floors add warmth to a compact, functional room that is ready to rest in when you come back from your walk.

The bathroom is private and en suite, reached directly from the room, with no corridors to cross and no bathrooms shared with other guests.

The room includes free WiFi, air conditioning and heating, so the temperature is yours to choose at any time of year. The rest of the equipment follows the same idea of simplicity: what is necessary, well placed and in working order.

It is a good choice for couples who spend the day out exploring Madrid and want a comfortable, functional double to come back to, steps from Gran Vía. It also works well as a straightforward base for a short city break. If you do not need the extra floor area or furnishings of the Comfort tier, the Standard Double covers what matters.

The hostal, family run, occupies numbers 13 and 14 of C. de Pizarro, right in the centre of Madrid and steps from Gran Vía. Reception is at number 13; the guest rooms are in the adjacent building at number 14.

Check-in is from 2 pm and check-out is by 11 am, with reception staffed every day from 10 am to 5 pm. If you expect to arrive later, just let us know when booking and we will send you everything you need to check in on your own.
