Located at number 14 of Pizarro Street, the inn is at the heart of Madrid, next to Chueca district.

The inn is inside one of the few Modernist buildings found in the historic part of the city, and was once the headquarters of the Spanish newspaper “El Correo.”

Its facade is the work of architect Mauricio Jalvo Millán. Although it includes decorative neogothic details,  its composition is mostly modernist. One of its most notable elements is the column that supports and divides the balcony, which appears to ve a winding branch that climbs to the upper floor.

In Hostel Pizarro we welcome all types of people. It is important to note that this is a gay—freindly hostel, where you will find a high degree of tolerance and respect. You will feel comfortable, and in perfect harmony, with the inn’s personnel as well as with the rest of the guests.

Hostel Pizarro has 17 rooms (10 doubles, 4 triples and 3 singles), and 2 lounges with  functional and modern decoration, each with the comforts of today, including satellite TV, WiFi, minibar,  and a safe to keep your valuables. Each room also has an individual bathroom.

Inagurated in the Spring of 2008, our facilities have been completely renovated. The building’s façade is set for renewal within Madrid’s Comprehensive Rehabilitation of the area (see sites of interest, videos and links from the pension) in the coming months.
